眾所周知,大部分管理類專碩(MBA/MPA/MEM等)提前面試中還包含英語聽力口語測試,一般形式為英文對話,面試老師圍繞著面試者的工作、學習經歷、興趣愛好等問題展開。(各院校英語口語測試流程部分,以及總體應對策略,出門左轉可細讀我們分享過的文章:《管理類考研復試高分策略之英語聽力與口語》)
英語口語測試比較考驗大家的隨機應變能力,提前熟悉一下英文面試問題,可以有效減少面試壓力。今天主要和大家分享一下,職業(yè)類問題的回答思路和技巧。
職業(yè)類問題類型
先看一下職業(yè)類問題長什么樣子:

What do you do for a living?

Could you please describe a failure/challenge in your career?

From your perspective, which kind of organizations/companies is suitable for MBA graduates?

What are your job prospects?
-
What do you intend to do after you finish studying?

How do you see yourself in ten years’ time?

What will you do if you cannot find a job after graduation?

What will you do if you only get an offer of junior accountant after graduation?
工作類的問題一般都很實在——比如在工作中,手機和電腦,你哪個用得更多?在過去的工作中,你最大的成就是什么?工作中,你有滿足感嗎?你為什么喜歡你現(xiàn)在的這份工作?哪里吸引你?
職業(yè)類詞匯和表達積累
對于這些問題,我們首先要掌握一些常用的職業(yè)類詞匯。我們給大家總結了三類:名詞,動詞,形容詞。
另外,我們還要積累一些比較正式的表達:
1. Taking into account all these factors, we may safely draw the conclusion that it is time that we put/placed/laid considerable special emphasis on the development/change to solve this problem.
2. There is no denying (little doubt) that special (adequate/considerable/further) attention must be paid/called/devoted to the problem of……
If we ignore/fail in/are blind to the problem, it is very likely that......
3. Obviously/Clearly/Apparently, there is very little chance that unless there is an immediate action of/common realization of......
最后,就是把我們掌握的詞匯,填充到這些句型和表達里面去,形成具有“職業(yè)化”的答案。
思路其實很簡單,針對聽力與口語測試在整個面試的分數(shù)比重較低的現(xiàn)實情況,我們在戰(zhàn)略應該藐視,但戰(zhàn)術應該重視。具體操作如下:培養(yǎng)語感——背誦積累——張口就來。

I have a clear five-year plan of my study, career and family life. They will say that I am very creative, because I am famous for innovative thinking. These attributes make me a good team member.
